PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Emily Mitchell

Meet Emily

Hi, I’m Emily, a provisional psychologist with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across private practice, disability, and perinatal mental health settings.

I work with people experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, trauma-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, and perinatal mental health concerns.

I am passionate about helping people build self-understanding, develop practical coping strategies, increase self-compassion, and move toward healthier and meaningful patterns in their lives and relationships. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, and I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where people feel supported to explore their experiences at their own pace.

Standard Session Fee: $110

Emily is currently a Provisional Psychologist meaning she isn’t eligible for the Medicare rebate just yet. Feel free to ask our admin staff more about this when booking.

Therapeutic Approaches

I draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema-informed therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and self-compassion focused work. I aim to tailor therapy to your needs, goals, and pace. Together, we may explore the links between your thoughts, emotions, relationships, early experiences, and coping patterns, while also building practical strategies that feel useful in your everyday life.
