CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Verity Stoker

Meet Verity

Helping adults regain balance, clarity, and confidence during life’s most demanding moments. With more than 25 years of clinical experience in Coffs Harbour, Verity brings a warm, grounded, and steady presence to her work. Her background spans public and private mental health, rehabilitation, and organisational wellbeing, and she has contributed published research on stress and workplace wellbeing. This depth of experience enables her to understand the complexities people face and support them with clarity, compassion, and practical wisdom.

Verity works with adults seeking support for stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, chronic pain, empty-nest adjustment, and perimenopausal or menopausal changes. She draws on an integrated blend of evidence-based therapies—including CBT, ACT, trauma-informed practice, hypnosis, EFT, NET, mindfulness, psychosensory techniques, and life-coaching principles—to tailor therapy in a personalised and effective way.

She offers a calm, safe, and non-judgemental space where people can slow down, breathe, and begin rebuilding confidence and resilience at a pace that feels right. Her focus is on helping individuals feel lighter, clearer, and more empowered while developing lifelong skills that support emotional wellbeing and meaningful life change.

Verity also provides meditation and relaxation training and supervises early-career clinicians as a board-approved supervisor.

Referral pathways are flexible and accessible. Verity welcomes self-referrals, with no GP referral required. Clients may access Medicare rebates through a Mental Health Care Plan or use private health insurance. She also accepts referrals from Veterans’ Affairs and NDIS, and continues to take on select insurance-related work.

“For many, simply beginning the conversation brings clarity and hope.”
